Is a Vitamin Supplement Necessary?

It is important to know if a vitamin supplement would be beneficial to your eating. Oftentimes, we just eat what is convenient or what we like and neglect foods we don't like. I guess that's alright if you like food that is good for you and gives your body what it needs on a daily basis. If you're like me, then that is not the case.

Here's me......

I basically eat what I want to eat. I would prefer to eat more fast food, if I'm being honest (I LOVE french fries). I work mainly out of my home, so I'm not out much during eating hours. I eat at home a lot, and I'm actually thankful. My wife, Stacey, is an excellent cook, and more importantly, I LOVE her cooking. She is a lot more health conscious about eating than I am, so we eat pretty healthy and hearty.

Here's the thing, though....

I am tired a lot during the day, eventhough, I get an average of 8 hours of sleep per night. Many days, ok most days, I will take a 15 minute nap during lunch. After my nap, I will drink an XS energy drink to give me a boost for the afternoon.

I think a lot of people go through life tired. They start noticing it in their early 20s and just never do anything about it.

Tiredness is simply a way the body tells us that it is lacking something.

That is why it is important to add a supplement to your diet. Something that will fill in the gaps of what your body is not receiving from the food you are eating.

Next time, I'll discuss the reasons why you should consider a vitamin supplement.

What is the Sweetener in XS Energy Drinks?

All XS Energy Drinks are sugar-free. So, you are probably wondering what they are sweetened with. Ace-K (Acesulfame K) and sucralose are the ingredients that give XS energy drinks their sweetness. These two ingredients are both approved government approved additives. They give these drinks a great taste with no bitter after taste, like most other energy drinks.

I'm not trying to be bias, but I haven't met anyone, so far, that doesn't like the taste of XS Energy Drinks. That is definitely the main perk of these drinks. However, I have heard several people say they do not like the taste of Red Bull, the #1 energy drink in the United States (XS is #2).

A bit about the sweetners....

Sucralose is a sugar molecule that has been adapted slightly so that when it passes through your body it tastes sweet on your tongue, but your body does not metabolize it so there is no net impact.

Ace-K is technically an inert organic salt that is excreted unchanged from the body, therefore, yielding no caloric density.

Benefits of Ace-K and Sucralose:

  • Mimic sweet taste of sugar
  • No calories
  • Do not raise blood glucose
  • Do not raise blood sugar levels
Americans love affair with sugar is no secret. Especially, if you take into consideration all the sodas that we drink in the U.S. Too much sugar in your diet can lead to several health challenges and weight gain (something we all hate).

In a recent study by the World Health Organization, it was reported that in 1900 the average American consumed 5 lbs of sugar annually. Today, the average American consumes 150 lbs of sugar annually. 40% of that sugar comes from an average of 2 sodas per day. Crazy!

XS Energy Drinks provides a solution for those looking to decrease the amount of sugar in their diet, but want to drink something cold that will them a boost.

Quixtar Amway Global Goes Mainstream

Question: What do “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Price Is Right,” and “Late Night with David Letterman” all have in common?

Answer: Between now and the end of August, the QUIXTAR®/AMWAY GLOBAL™ national advertising campaign will run during episodes of all of these shows, and many others that are top-rated.

On May 26, 2008, Amway Global will kick off a television ad campaign on national and local cable stations. Beginning that day, television ads will start running in select markets. These ads build on and complement the message of our print ads placed in magazines such as Time, Newsweek, and Fortune.

This ad campaign seeks to increase awareness of the company and create a positive impression about the brand. And from what I've seen so far, this is only the beginning of the national advertising.

XS Energy Drinks - Energy That Actually Tastes Good

XS Energy Drinks - Part 1

I will probably have to break this post up into several parts. There's no way I can write just one long post on an awesome product like XS Energy Drinks.

First of all, I've just got to throw the 13 flavors out there!

Cranberry Grape Blast
Cola Blast
Black Cherry Cola Blast
Citrus Blast
Tea Berry Blast
Tropical Blast
Root Beer Blast
Electric Lemon Blast
Peach Tea Blast
Cherry Blast

In addition, three flavors come in caffeine-free:

Cranberry Grape Blast
Tropical Blast
Root Beer Blast

I don't know of another energy drink on the market today with that many flavors. You will easily find a flavor that you enjoy. Currently, the most popular flavor is Cranberry Grape Blast. Most people say it reminds them of a grape soda. I don't really like grape soda, but I love the "cran-grape," as we call it. It may have predominantly a grape flavor, but it does not go over the top with the grape taste.

(NOTE: When I compare the flavors to other drinks I'm not saying that these flavors are just "knock-offs" of an original flavor or soda. Trust me, XS Energy Drinks are by no means comparable to Sam's Choice that copy the flavor of already popular drinks. XS Energy stands alone and is different from anything you've ever consumed.)

Now that I have cleared that up, more about flavors.....

My favorite flavor is the Citrus Blast, followed by a close second, Tropical Blast. If you like Mountain Dew or Mello Yellow then you will enjoy the citrus. I don't know what to compare the tropical to, but it is very good. My third favorite is Black Cherry Cola Blast. I've always like cherry cola sodas, so it was no surprise that I loved this one when it came out.

My wife, Stacey, loves the Peach Tea Blast. Hopefully, I'll get her on here to expound in upcoming posts.

Next, I'll talk about the benefits of drinking a XS Energy Drink.

Why I Created a Blog About Amway Products

I thought it would be proper to begin this blog by telling you why I created this blog. I imagine you will mainly hear from me, but my wife is going to help me keep this updated as well.

We are Independent Business Owners affiliated with Quixtar/Amway Global (most people know the company as Amway). Since we work with Amway, we are very acquainted with many phenomenal Amway products. We would like to share our product experiences and the experiences of others with you.

We have noticed that many people search for Amway products online, but there are not many places to purchase them from distributors. Traditionally, Amway has been known as more of a order-by-catalog system, but these days are long gone now that the Internet is becoming the preferred method for shoppers.

In the upcoming posts, we will be dicussing such products as Amway vitamins, double x 30-day supplements, energy drinks, meal replacement bars, amway water filter, and cookware. XS Energy, Nutrilite, LOC, SA8, Artistry, and the new Perfect Empowered Drinking Water are just a few of the brands that we have in the Amway family of products.

I hope you will find the information we provide useful and somewhat fun to read.
